The VCH-003 Synchronization Supply Unit (SSU) is designed for use in Telecommunications Networks. Depending on its configuration, the VCH-003 SSU can be used to generate and distribute 2048 kHz and 2048 kbit/s synchronization signals as part of a Primary Reference Clock (PRC) system; to operate as a Transit Node Clock (TNC) or Local Node Clock (LNC), recovering synchronization signals derived from transmission lines at network nodes; or to generate synchronization signals using GLONASS/GPS GNSS references.

Oscillator Options
the customer can select the most suitable oscillator type: – rubidium oscillator — ITU-T G.812 Type II ;
double-oven quartz crystal oscillator — ITU-T G.812 Type I .

NTP Functions
– synchronization of the local time scale to UTC using a GNSS reference.
NTP v3 and NTP v4 Network Time Protocol support in accordance with IETF RFC 1305 and RFC 5905 .
Stratum 1 NTP server .

PTP Functions
Precision Time Protocol PTPv2 (IEEE 1588v2) .
