On 13th of August 2021 the Cooperation Agreement was signed by JSC «Vremya-CH» and The P.N. Lebedev Physical Institute, LPI. The main aim of cooperation was defined as carrying out investigations in the field of frequency standards development, laser and vacuum technologies.
The
joint group of Vremya-CH engineers and LPI scientists started the
development of perspective small-sized frequency standard based on
trapped mercury ions for space applications. General aim of the project –
volume of the standard less than 20 liters, mass less than 20 kg,
metrological properties – instability less than 5∙10
-15
@ 1 day, long-term frequency drift less than 5∙10
-17
/day, in-orbit lifetime more than 10 years.
